Clemson Cooperative Extension: Allendale County is sponsoring a live stream featuring eggs in an incubator. Starting March 13th through April 3rd, we will watch the eggs until they are ready to hatch. Be on the lookout for the live stream link!

Clemson Extension Service introduction to homesteading class is part of a three-part series with this being the 3rd and final installment.
The introduction to homesteading class is intended for landowners and others interested in homesteading as an informative class to guide prospective homesteaders. Topics include basic livestock handling, Homestead Produce 101: Produce selection, Planting Dates, and Soil Sampling. Refreshments will be provided
Pre-registration is required to participate.

The Savannah Valley Livestock Judging Team is working hard over Christmas Break. Today we visited Sheppard Farms in Sylvania, Ga. The team practiced evaluating bulls and heifers, gave oral reasons, and learned more about the beef industry.
Allendale Clemson Extension will be reopen Thursday 12-8-22.

Does your child have an interest in livestock? Then join our Savannah Valley Livestock Judging Team. Livestock judging allows youth to build teamwork, communication skills, analytical thinking, and confidence. Youth will learn how to evaluate livestock against the ideal animal and vocally justify their decision. Owning livestock is not a requirement and is open to all youth 9-18.
