📸 On October 1st, we had the opportunity to photograph RISE, an event all about rising above domestic violence.

It was hosted by ReEntry Solutions, a nonprofit that’s been serving our community for over 15 years, and it was the perfect way to kick off Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 💜

The panel was powerful — with pastors from the community, interns from Christophe Counseling, and several incredible guest speakers including Judge Shannon Gremillion, who serves on the Court of Appeals, and Candy Christophe Speaks, the founder of ReEntry and our main speaker. Candy’s story was so moving and personal — it reminded everyone why awareness and compassion matter so much in the fight against domestic violence.

We also heard from representatives with the Family Justice Center of Central Louisiana, who are doing amazing work to support victims and families right here in our area.

Grateful to witness and capture such an inspiring night filled with strength, unity, and hope. 💜

💜 Domestic Awareness Resistance Team (D.A.R.T.) Walk – Colfax, LA

This weekend, we had the honor of capturing the D.A.R.T. Domestic Violence Awareness Walk in Colfax, Louisiana, for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 💜
It was powerful to see survivors, families, and advocates come together to stand against domestic violence and support healing within our community.
A special thank you to Miss Amanda White and the D.A.R.T. team for the incredible work they do every day to bring awareness and resources to Grant Parish.

Last Thursday, we had the honor of attending the Family Justice Program’s Candlelight Vigil for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 💜

It was a beautiful and emotional evening dedicated to honoring survivors, remembering those we’ve lost, and standing together as a community against domestic violence.

We’re grateful for the powerful words shared by Sheriff Mark Woods, Amanda White (Victim’s Advocate for Grant Parish), and the many others who continue to fight for safety, awareness, and healing.

Events like this remind us why community matters — and why every voice and every story deserves to be heard.
