Just a heads up, if you looking for an event for July 4th don't forget about Albuquerque's Freedom 4th at Albuquerque's Balloon Fiesta Park on Wednesday July 4th, 2018. This is a free event for everybody and includes the largest firework show in the state, food, local beer in the Microbrew Garden. The headliner for the live concert is Ms.Jo Dee Messina. Jo Dee Messina is a seasoned veteran in the music industry, Jo Dee’s breakout song, “Heads Carolina, Tails California,” made her a household name.

Freedom 4th will be a great time for all ages. Bring the children for free fun including jumpers, two rock walls, free face painting and more.This is a rain or shine event.

Tomorrow is the first day of College Bowl Season and to help kick it off is The 12th Annual Gildan New Mexico Bowl. The bowl is scheduled to feature the Colorado State Rams (7-5) from the Mountain West Conference versus the Marshall Thundering Herd (7-5) out of Conference USA. This will be the first-ever matchup between the two teams and the 3rd New Mexico Bowl to feature the two conferences. The Rams come in as former 2-time champs. 2017 Duke City Marathon

This Sunday October 22nd 2017 is the 34th Annual Duke City Marathon! This is New Mexico's longest running and premier fitness event! Ranked as one of the top 25 Marathons in the world, the marathon is also qualifier for the Boston Marathon. It features seven races (Marathon, Marathon Relay, Half Marathon, 10K Run, 10K Walk, 5K Run and 5K Walk) and is open to all ages. The course begins and ends in downtown Albuquerque, and also includes a FREE Health Expo on October 21. A Post Race Festival from 8:00am - 2:00pm will be held at Civic Plaza Downtown and will feature refreshments for participants, vendors, exhibits and Breakfast food served by Blake’s Lotaburger. Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta

The Casas de Suenos Old Town Historic Inn wants to wish a warm welcome to everyone visiting Albuquerque for the 2017 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta! The 9 day eveent kicks off this Saturday, October 7th at 5:45am with a Laser Light Show followed the Dawn Patrol at 6:00am. The first Mass Ascension for 2017 begins at 7:00am with over 600 balloons registered. This makes the festival the "Largest ballooning event on earth, the most photographed event on earth, and the largest annual international event held in the United States". USA Today just published their list of the 25 must-see buildings in New Mexico! USA today asked each state chapter of the AIA (American Institute of Architects) to help create a list for their state. The New Mexico list includes many of our already well known landmarks such as Chaco Canyon, Bandelier National Monument, and the Taos Pueblo. Is listed Santa Fe with he St. Francis Cathedral, the beautiful Loreto Chapel and the famous Santa Fe Opera. This years list has included some very unique structures in Albuquerque such as the Bart Prince House (The Casas de Suenos Historic Inn has our very own Bart Prince structure known as the Nautilus), the BNSF rail yards downtown, the Kimo Theater and the Zimmerman Library at the University of New Mexico Campus. The Casas de Suenos Welcomes Back the annual "Gathering of the Nations". The 2017 "Largest Pow Wow in North America" starts today at its new location at the New Mexico Fairgrounds and the Tingley Coliseum.. Nearly 3000 American Indian dancers and singers representing more than 700 tribes of Canada and the United Stated will be participating. The Indian Trader's Market offers great shopping and the exhibition of Native artifacts from throughout the Americas featuring over 800 artists, crafters and traders, and will include the crowning of "Miss Indian World". All events are open to the public, photos are encouraged. This is one of Albuquerque premier annual events and a 'must see event".
