Sea Fishing Escape in Zanzibar

– $200 for 2 people

Looking for a fun and unforgettable Indian Ocean adventure? At The View of Zanzibar, we offer a special package with 1 night in our ocean-view room, a local sea fishing trip, and breakfast — all for $200 (based on 2 people sharing 1 room).

Arrive the day before and settle into our beautiful apartment with an amazing ocean view and access to our kitchen. Spend the day enjoying Pingwe Beach — swim, snorkel, stroll, or simply relax opposite the famous The Rock Restaurant.

The next morning at 06:00, one of our local captains will collect you for your fishing trip. The experience includes 2 fishing rods and all the gear you need.

For many couples, this works out perfectly — one heads off for 3–4 hours of fishing adventure, while the other enjoys a peaceful morning back at the apartment. And for those who love a little excitement, joining the trip is always an option too. There is room for kids off course

Before departure, we provide coffee and a light breakfast. Out at sea, the captain uses a trolling technique, with 2–3 lines pulled behind the boat as you head 2–3 km beyond the reef. Along the way, you may spot flying fish, seabirds, dolphins, and tuna.
Then comes the real thrill. When the lines bend, you could be reeling in a 10–20 kg Dorado, Wahoo, Sailfish, Tuna, or Barracuda. You fight the fish yourself, with the captain there to help when needed.

Bring your catch back to The View of Zanzibar, where Chef Ofonime and her team will prepare a fresh lunch you will never forget. And if nothing bites that day, that is all part of real fishing — you will still enjoy our delicious breakfast.

Here at The View of Zanzibar we are proud of our Vegetarian options on the menu we serve on Pingwe Beach

Our personal favorite is Ofosi made with vegetables and cheese.We use fresh Cabbage, carrots, green bell pepper, yellow bell pepper,red pepper bell, potatoes eggs (optional ) season add little flour.
Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake it off.
Come over and try, also for non-vegatarians.

We had the pleasure of welcoming a great group from Sharon Inbar for lunch.
After an amazing safari trip in Tanzania, they came to for a few relaxing days and asked us to prepare a beautiful lunch with everything freshly made.

On the menu: our signature Jollof Rice, beef burgers, catch of the day, fruit, chips, and vegetables straight from the farm amongst other food.

The group enjoyed the outdoor restaurant at The View of Zanzibar , and for dessert we all celebrated Galina’s birthday.
Tour guides are welcome to bring groups to enjoy Pingwe Beach, snorkeling, starfish, diving, walking, swimming, and dhow boat trips, combined with a lunch prepared by Naija Flavors by Chef Ofonime and her team.

Zanzibar is welcoming many Nigerian and West-African tourists, and a lot of them really appreciate being able to order home-style Nigerian meals while they’re here.
