🦈 DO SHARKS REALLY "GLITCH" WHEN YOU TOUCH THEIR NOSE? 🤖

Ever seen those viral videos where a diver touches a shark’s snout, and it instantly freezes, goes limp, or rolls its eyes like a system reboot?

It’s not magic, and it’s not because they enjoy a belly rub. It’s a biological phenomenon known as Tonic Immobility (TI), triggered by Sensory Overload.

🔬 The Science Behind the "Glitch"
A shark’s snout is covered with thousands of tiny, jelly-filled pores called Ampullae of Lorenzini. These ultrasensitive electroreceptors allow sharks to detect minute electrical fields in the ocean—even the faint heartbeat of prey hidden under the sand.

When human hands press or rub these electroreceptors, the sudden surge of sensory input overloads their nervous system. This causes the shark to enter a temporary trance-like state marked by complete muscle relaxation, slowed breathing, and rolled eyes.
