📚 Professor Chung has extensive research in phonetics and English language teaching, helping millions of learners improve their pronunciation and listening skills. She developed the “Echo Method”, which helps learners naturally mimic native speech patterns, making learning more effective.

小猴是一位熱愛分享聾人文化的講者，也是一名手語使用者。她積極參與聾導覽、視形傳譯及聾導覽培訓，致力於推廣無障礙溝通，讓更多人了解聾人世界。透過她的經驗與專業，她幫助大眾更深入認識手語與聾人文化，搭建溝通的橋樑。

💡 她的演講將探討什麼？
在日常生活中，聾人面對的挑戰往往被忽視，許多人對聾人文化與手語知之甚少。在這場演講中，小猴將分享自己的聽力情形、介紹聾人文化，並帶領大家學習簡單手語，讓彼此的理解更加順暢。

📢 Introducing—Xiao Hou! 🐵✨

Xiao Hou is a passionate speaker and sign language user dedicated to sharing Deaf culture. She actively participates in Deaf-led tours, visual interpretation, and Deaf guide training, working to promote accessible communication and help more people understand the Deaf community. Through her expertise and experience, she serves as a bridge, fostering deeper connections between Deaf and hearing individuals.

💡 What will her talk cover?
Deaf people often face unseen challenges in daily life, and many people have little knowledge of Deaf culture and sign language. In this talk, Xiao Hou will share her own hearing experience, introduce Deaf culture, and teach basic sign language—helping everyone communicate more smoothly and with greater understanding.

豆比是一位熱愛語言學習的多語使用者，也是名手語翻譯員，同時經營「豆比手語」粉專。在短短兩年內考取手語翻譯丙級證照，並於 2023 年榮獲教育部青年發展署「壯遊感動地圖計畫」金獎！她的計畫《尋聾饗——無聲的美味，感動的地圖》透過深度訪談，將全台特色聾人/聽障者者經營的美食彙整成電子地圖，讓更多人能夠認識並支持聾人/聽障者經營的品牌。🌟

她長期投入手語與聾人文化傳播，推廣視形傳譯（手語表演）等相關活動以提倡「聾聽藝術平權」，並持續深耕聾人/聽障社群，推動無障礙溝通與文化交流！

📢 Introducing—Doby! 🐵✨
Doby is a passionate polyglot and sign language interpreter, as well as the creator of the “Doby Sign Language”. In just two years, she earned her sign language interpreter certification and won the 2023 Gold Award in the “Inspiring Travel Map Project” by the Ministry of Education. Her project, “Silent Feast: A Map of Heartfelt Flavors,” compiles Deaf-owned restaurants across Taiwan into a digital map, helping more people discover and support these businesses. 🌟

She is dedicated to promoting sign language and Deaf culture, advocating for visual interpretation (sign language performance) and “Deaf-Hearing Art Equality.” Through her long-term engagement with the Deaf community, she continuously works to foster accessible communication and cultural exchange!

✏️ 台灣手語的歷史？| History of Taiwan Sign Language & Influence of Japan

台灣手語源於日治時期，受日本手語（JSL）影響詞彙與語法，但與本地手語融合，發展出獨特特色。
Taiwan Sign Language (TSL) originated during Japanese rule, influenced by Japan Sign Language (JSL) but evolved uniquely by blending with local sign languages.

2018年，台灣手語被正式列為國家語言，保障聾人語言權利，並推動其在教育與公共服務中的應用。
In 2018, TSL was officially recognized as a national language, ensuring deaf rights and promoting its use in education and public services.

✏️ 台灣手語有南北差異嗎？ | Differences Between Southern and Northern Taiwan Sign Language?

北部手語受東京影響較大，南部則接近大阪體系。這些差異造成的溝通障礙逐漸縮小，但仍保留地方特色。
Northern TSL is influenced by Tokyo, while Southern TSL is closer to Osaka’s system. As society and sign language education advance, communication barriers have reduced while local characteristics remain.
