Morvant-Born Damian Marcano Wins Emmy for HBO Max’s The Pitt 🏆🎬🇹🇹
Trinidadian filmmaker Damian Marcano is celebrating his first Primetime Emmy Award, winning as co-executive producer of HBO Max’s medical drama The Pitt, which claimed Outstanding Drama Series at the 2025 ceremony.
📺 Marcano, who grew up in Morvant before moving to the U.S., also directed four episodes of the show’s acclaimed first season. Shot in real time to follow a single ER shift, The Pitt went into the night with 13 nominations and walked away with three wins, including acting trophies for Katherine LaNasa and Noah Wyle.

Before breaking into Hollywood with credits like Lawmen: Bass Reeves and Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, Marcano directed iconic Soca music videos for Machel Montano - The Fog, Float, and Represent. He now heads Blue Cinnamon Group in California and is set to return for The Pitt’s second season.
