STORY TIME! The Story of Ebony Belle Communiques - How it Began and Where it's Going! (Twelve Months to Retirement) GET READY, SET, GO...!
As I begin the twelve month countdown to retirement from my full-time job to finally running my wedding planning business full-time, I can't help but reflect on how it began about 15 years ago.
After pursuing my first degree as well as certification in Event Management, Television & Radio Broadcasting, Communication Arts, Marketing & Public Relations, I started doing private jobs in events, communications, emceeing and even mystery shopping as weekend sidelines to pay extra bills after my new mortgage payment left me scrambling to make ends meet.
One day a friend asked me to be the Master of Ceremonies for her wedding and while chatting with her to get some background info for the speeches and routine house announcements, I realised there were some gaps in the planning aspect. Long story short, I offered to be her Day of Wedding Co-ordinator and the rest as they say is history!
Registered in 2010, Ebony Belle Communiques provides a suite of services including Day of Wedding Co-ordination, Master of Ceremonies and Ushering for weddings and events.
We also offer a 3-day micro programme in "Mastering The Art of Public Speaking/Interviews/Live Presentations" targeted at small business owners who may be shy about doing presentations, pitches, radio and tv interviews or even videos.
GRWM (Get Ready with Me) as we countdown the next twelve months before I retire from my full time job and start running my business full-time!
