In , there are lots of hidden spots to visit. KUZGUNCUK is one of them. It is on the Anatolian side near Üsküdar. The streets are very colorful with the Ottoman Houses and cosy restaurants. The food is really great, especially there is a kebap restaurant named , it is the best döner I've ever eaten. If you are , try not to miss it.

I'm sure everyone knows about our big passion about 'simit' . Simit is the Turkish bagel that you can find on every street. It is a delicious pastry with sesame on top. We eat it for breakfast or anytime we like. 😍
But this time I've tried something new, simit.
These are the only photos I could have taken because in 15 min, they were gone 😂

This is my new recipe for the perfect bread . 🍞🍞🍞
You may not believe it but this bread is made from lentils.
Here's the recipe:
1 glass of red or yellow lentils, pour 2 glasses of boiling water on it and wait for 6 hours. Then drain the lentils well, mix it with two eggs, half a glass of Turkish yogurt, half a glass of olive oil, salt and 1 teaspoon baking soda. Blend them all, dress it with sesame and nigella. Bake it in 170 degrees for 30 min.
Be careful not to eat it all at once, because it's very delicious 👩‍🍳

POET OF PRINCES ISLAND
In my experience 'Discover the Princes Islands with a Local, we visit Burgazada. When we land Burgazada, a statue of a poet welcomes us, Sait Faik Abasiyanik. He's the Turkish Chekhov!

He wrote twelve books of short stories, two novels, and a book of poetry and he lived most of his life on this little island. The house he lived in is a museum now. 📚

I would like to tell you a very short story about him. There was a meeting for writers in Beyoğlu. Sait Faik went to the meeting but at the entrance there was a doorman, he looked at Sait Faik and didn't let him go in, said 'This meeting is for writers, not fishermen.' Sait Faik didn't say a word and left with a big smile on his face. He had been very happy for not being recognized. What do you think about him now, in this social media era?
