🚨Effective 15 September 2026
Group 1️⃣: 30-Day Visa Exemption
60 Countries and Territories
Effective 15 September 2026, Thailand’s 60-day visa exemption will be reduced to 30 days for citizens of the following 60 eligible countries and territories:
👉Asia and the Middle East
Bahrain, Bhutan, Brunei, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Maldives, Oman, the Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Taiwan, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
👉Europe
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, and Ukraine.
👉Americas
Canada and the United States.
👉Oceania
Australia, Fiji, and New Zealand.
👉Africa
South Africa.
Group 2️⃣: 15-Day Visa Exemption
2 Countries
Citizens of Seychelles and Mauritius are permitted to stay for up to 15 days.
Group 3️⃣: Visa on Arrival (VoA)
3 Countries
Citizens of Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Serbia may apply for a Visa on Arrival at designated immigration checkpoints.
Permitted stay: Up to 15 days
Visa fee: THB 2,000
Group 4️⃣: Bilateral Agreements
Citizens of certain countries and territories are granted specific periods of stay under bilateral agreements.
👉90 days: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, and South Korea (Republic of Korea)
👉30 days: China, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Laos, Macao, Mongolia, Russia, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam
👉14 days: Cambodia and Myanmar (international airports only)
🇹🇭✈️ What to Prepare Before Flying to Thailand
☑️Valid Passport: Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your date of entry.
☑️Onward Travel Ticket: Prepare a confirmed flight, bus or boat ticket showing that you will leave Thailand within your permitted stay.
☑️Proof of Accommodation: Carry your hotel reservation or details of where you will stay in Thailand.
☑️Proof of Sufficient Funds: Immigration officers may ask for evidence of sufficient funds—at least THB 20000 per person
🔴Overstay Penalty
Always check the permitted-until date on your entry stamp. Staying beyond this date is illegal and may result in daily fines, deportation or blacklisting.
