SUBJECT: APPRECIATION MESSAGE TO ALL SEVEN PAYAM LEADERS

To: All sons and daughters of Duk County, coaches, Payam representatives, and team captains.

On behalf of the leadership of the Duk County Youth Association (DCYA), Juba, and on my own behalf as the Information Secretary, I would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt appreciation to the leaders of all seven Payams.

We are sincerely grateful for your cooperation, unity, and willingness to embrace the Duk Peace Tournament. Thank you for agreeing to hold this important event on time under the guidance and leadership of DCYA.

Your decision to accept and support this initiative is a true testament to your commitment to promoting peace, unity, and development across Duk County. Sports have a unique way of bringing people together, and through your leadership and support, this tournament will become a beacon of hope, friendship, and harmony.

​Dear Duor Youth,
​I am deeply honored and humbled to express my sincere gratitude to each and every one of you for granting me the incredible privilege to serve as the Chairman of Duor Youth Association-Juba. As I step into this role, my primary focus will be to champion youth empowerment, foster unity, and ensure our collective voice is heard. I look forward to serving you diligently and working alongside every one of you to achieve our shared goals.

GOVERNOR OF JONGLEI STATE DR. RIEK G*I KOK DIANG AND HIGH-LEVEL COMMITTEE CONCLUDE THREE-DAY PEACE DIALOGUE BETWEEN AYUAL OF TWIC EAST COUNTY AND HOL OF DUK COUNTY

The Governor of Jonglei State, H.E. Dr. Riek G*i Kok Diang, together with the High-Level Peace Committee, has successfully concluded a three-day peace dialogue aimed at resolving the conflict between the Ayual community of Twic East County and the Hol community of Duk County.

The dialogue reaffirmed the commitment of both communities to fully implement the September 14, 2025 Peace Resolutions, with the objective of promoting lasting peace, reconciliation, and peaceful coexistence.

As part of the resolutions, the Ayual and Hol communities committed to the immediate and unconditional cessation of all forms of hostilities and any actions that could undermine peace, security, and stability. The meeting also appealed to the National Government and the Jonglei State Government to deploy security forces to establish buffer zones at designated locations to prevent further attacks and protect lives and property.

The dialogue further resolved that the County Commissioners, Paramount Chiefs, and Head Chiefs of Duk and Twic East counties will apprehend all identified suspects involved in criminal acts and hand them over to the competent government authorities within fourteen (14) days to face justice in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Sudan. Failure to comply will result in the responsible county and traditional leaders being held accountable.

Governor Dr. Riek G*i Kok Diang reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to restoring peace, security, and stability across Jonglei State. He urged the Hol and Ayual communities to work closely with the State Government in strengthening unity, dialogue, reconciliation, and mutual understanding.
