Als Vice President International (VPI) van JCI Nilom kijk ik met grote trots en dankbaarheid terug op mijn rol als Master of Ceremony tijdens de finale van de JCI Nilom National Speech Contest 2026. Het was voor mij een bijzondere eer om dit inspirerende podium te mogen begeleiden.

Dit evenement laat op indrukwekkende wijze zien hoe belangrijk het is om jongeren een te geven. Het stimuleert hen om hun gedachten helder te formuleren, zelfvertrouwen op te bouwen en zich uit te spreken over onderwerpen die ertoe doen. Vaardigheden die niet alleen vandaag, maar juist in de toekomst van onschatbare waarde zijn.

Daarnaast ben ik er trots op dat ik dit waardevolle initiatief heb mogen ondersteunen als sponsor. Investeren in jongeren is investeren in leiderschap, groei en positieve verandering in onze samenleving.

De passie, het talent en de moed die ik heb gezien tijdens deze finale geven vertrouwen in de toekomst. Dit zijn de leiders van morgen!

On International Women’s Day, I had the pleasure of sitting down after the Miss India Suriname 2026 pre-generale show and sharing a beautiful conversation about experiences, growth and the many inspiring journeys of women. Moments like these remind me as an individual how powerful it is when people support, uplift and celebrate one another.

It also made me feel truly honored to be part of the Board of Miss India Suriname 2026, and even more so as the *only man* among such inspiring, strong, and talented women. Being surrounded by their passion, dedication and vision is something I deeply respect and appreciate.

Since 2012, I have been actively involved in the beauty pageant industry, learning that true pageantry is not about crowns alone, but about structure, leadership, cultural identity and legacy. Over the years, I have witnessed how platforms can shape confidence, create opportunities and elevate communities when they are built with vision and integrity.

Leadership is not defined by gender, but by consistency, strategy and the courage to serve a greater purpose.
