Small Talk with Claesson Koivisto Rune, the Stockholm-based architecture and design studio founded in 1995 by Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto, and Ola Rune.

Internationally acclaimed, Claesson Koivisto Rune has played a pivotal role in shaping contemporary Swedish design — pushing boundaries from the very start.

Small Talk is a series of short conversations with inspiring individuals, exploring Swedish design culture, Stockholm as a design city, and everything in between — stay tuned.

Small Talk with Alexander Westerlund, designer and co-founder of Interesting Times Gang, a sustainability-driven and award-winning Stockholm studio rethinking interior architecture and product design.

Best known for its Kelp Collection, the studio works with everything from orange rinds and airbags to oyster shells and seaweed, taking a fabric-first approach that lets the material guide the design.

We met at their studio in central Stockholm, where Alexander reflected on the essence of Swedish design, shared his favourite spots in the city, and revisited his most memorable Stockholm Design Week moment.

Small Talk is a series of short conversations with inspiring individuals. We chat about Swedish design, Stockholm’s best picks, and everything in between — stay tuned!

Stockholm Building of the Year 2024🌟

Forskaren has been voted the winner of the City of Stockholm’s annual competition Stockholm Building of the Year! The award goes to a newly built or renovated building or park – chosen by the people of Stockholm.

🏆 Jury’s motivation:
“With its distinct design and strategic location, Forskaren claims a natural place in Hagastaden. Despite its relatively modest scale compared to the surrounding context, it stands out as a strong landmark. The building welcomes visitors with an open and transparent ground floor.”
