me together on the first Friday of lockdown to throw an online party to give queers across the globe a sense of release and community whilst in isolation. Months later they've built an online following and are continuing to throw events for the virtual masses. Queer House Party has worked and collaborated with Cybertease, United Stripers of The World, Drag Syndrome, Quiplash, Bricks, The Barbican, BFI, and Guildhall to name a few. Queer House Party keeps their politics and activism central to their events, creating a space that is not only accessible for the whole LGBTIQ+ community but kicks off and campaigns for a wide range of issues that we care about.

Thank you to everyone who has grabbed a ticket for QHP All Night Long. We have been thinking about doing this for a while, and seeing so many tickets go in just a few days has made us even more excited for September 6.

We are taking a bit of time off and will be on socials a lot less over the next few weeks. But before we go quiet, here are a few events in August that we or our extended QHP family are involved in:

Friday 1 August – , London
Taali Not Charlie is taking over the middle floor at Riot with an all Black all q***r carnival of DJs dancers and ballroom. Come ready to sweat.

Friday 8 August – , Winchester
We are back at Boomtown and tearing up the Bad Apple Bar once again. If you have been before you know you will want to get down early.

Saturday 9 August – Afters, Margate
We are joining QHP favourites Jaguar, Meg Ward, Tom Rasmussen, Maleigh Zan, Lori Mae and Gaetan for a huge afterparty at our favourite pride. It is the only Pride we have ever said yes to. Make of that what you will.

Sunday 24 August – Afterparty, London
You might have noticed we are not on the Body Movements lineup this year but do not worry - we are playing the afters. Expect a sweaty joyful family affair at The Cause.

Friday 29 August – , Dorset
This festival has been on our bucket list for years so it is a real honour to be playing late on the Friday night. We can’t wait!

When we first started QHP, it was just us, some shimmer curtains, a cardboard cutout of Susan Boyle, and a dream.

Since then, Q***r House Party has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined – and we’ve somehow ended up working with some of our heroes, as well as over 200 incredible q***r artists along the way.

But every now and then, we miss those early nights – a small, sweaty, packed-out room, no fancy production, no egos, just big tunes, good people, and that DIY energy we’ve always loved (and tried to hold on to).

So, as part of our fifth birthday celebrations, we’re going back to our roots for one night only:

Q***r House Party is camp, sexy, inclusive, and it’s live-streamed to you every. Damn. Friday. Resident DJs Harry Gay, Wacha and Passer bring you the bops, and we have an online chat hang-out hosted by the legendary Liv Wynter! It gets better - every week we have different special guests, drag queens and performers broadcasting their fabulousness straight into your living room! Born on the first Friday of lockdown, Q***r House Party started with the aim of bringing solidarity and release to our community, and every week hundreds of us party together into the early hours. You can share your video, chat with other guests and REVEL in the sheer q***r beauty of our house party. Featured in Dazed and Confused, Vice, The Guardian, BBC, Pink News and QX Magazine. How does Q***r House Party work? Just before we go live at 21.00 we’ll send out a link on our socials that will transport you into the party. You can choose to share your video and dance along or just watch everyone else partying. You can also chat with other party guests in the main thread or send private messages ;) We’ll be joined by performers each week who are spotlighted as a full screen, meaning we can all watch together. Accessibility Q***r House Party is BSL interpreted by Max (@wheelieq***rmerbabe). In solidarity with our sober friends, we ask you to decant your drinks into cups and not take any substances on camera. Please respect one another; do not assume anyone’s gender, ask for pronouns if you are unsure. We do not accept prejudice based on religious beliefs, language ability, class or gender presentation. We do not tolerate ableism, ageism, body shaming, biphobia, fatphobia, homophobia, misogyny, racism, transphobia or xenophobia. If we see anyone who is doing any of the above you will be removed from the stream and banned from Q***r House Party. Zoom is not a private space, and there are incidences where trolls have invaded public zoom meetings. We monitor the space constantly and will strive to ensure that this does not occur, but as with any public internet space, there is a risk of this occurring.
