We arrived this weekend at thinking we were going to spend some precious time around nature and horses, but we had experienced something much more meaningful.
But before telling you about the experience itself, we want to share more about the person behind .rhythm.connection.
Lăcrămioara grew up surrounded by a beautiful natural environment and over the years, transformed this lifelong connection into years of study and practice around animal behaviour, welfare and human-animal interactions.
Today, she combines an academic background with something that is perhaps harder to teach: spending enough time around horses to truly understand them.
When she talks about it, you quickly realize that the experience she creates here is more than meets the eye. And it starts with understanding her wonderful horses, their body language, the relationship with one another.
We spent time observing before interacting, learning about how they live together, how they approach unfamiliar people and how different each of them actually is once you start paying attention.
What touched us most was watching our little Enya.
At first she simply observed from a distance, slowly becoming more curious as they moved around her. Eventually she started brushing them, slowly learning more and spending time in their presence, while they, in return, became equally curious about her. A slow and mindful process we deeply appreciated.
We had spent time experiencing something much more genuine than we initially expected and left with a lot of admiration not only for the horses themselves, but also for the care, knowledge and thoughtfulness with which Lăcrămioara built this experience. A perfect weekend of self awareness, connection and discovery. We are deeply thankful!
