On August 13, 1990, the fabulous song "Praying For Time" was released.
Written, produced and performed by our beloved George, it was the first single from his second studio album "Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1".
The official music video for the song expresses George's willingness to sell his records rather than his image.
Therefore, it was released with only the words of the lyrics being projected onto a black background, that forces us to understand, follow and assimilate them.
An alternative video has also been released, with George seen recording and performing the lyrics. Well, let's discover the meaning behind this wonderful song!
"Praying for Time" is a touching, dramatic and introspective ballad that explores themes of poverty, inequality, injustice, hypocrisy, and the loss of faith in a better future.
