We are feeling benissimo; those summer days are here to stay 🌞🪸🌾

A multi day celebration birthday party in Puglia with the most colourful, fun, (edible) table settings, music festivities and even a tarot.
The first event was held off-site in a wonderful Osteria set in the medieval village of Oria.

The birthday celebrations were held on a quintessentially traditional Puglia Masseria, the table was styled with our bespoke cerulean blue and tomato red linen. We like to keep on theme!

A pizza party for the final night was styled using local vegetables, wheat, and colourful mats!

Venturing into our twentieth year, today we unveil a new chapter of The Wedding Co.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Known as a pioneer of destination weddings in Portugal, this evolution has been shaped by years of joyful celebrations and a commitment to detail, creativity and beauty.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We have now evolved into a broader expression of our work: soft furnishings, textiles, interior design and objets d’art, a natural progression of the aesthetic language that has always defined our work.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We have been so fortunate to have hosted the most incredible celebrations all over Portugal, and have traveled to far flung places across the globe, hosting events in Marrakech, Italy and in Spain.
The world, indeed, continues to be our oyster.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This rebrand has been deeply personal, a creative process rooted in a lifelong fascination with the sun, stars and astrology, as well as 18th and 19th century art and interiors.
We worked with artist Olivia Provey, whose world of delicate colourful watercolours brought to life the vision.
An emblem emerged around the sun, one that speaks of legacy, elegance and whimsy.
The branding, developed with long-time collaborator Catarina Zimbarra, carries the same intention, quietly distinctive.

As we step into this next chapter, we look forward to new collaborations, inspiring destinations, and to continuing to create alongside artists, dreamers and extraordinary venues around the world.

Our woodland, vintage floral cocktail hour on a midsummer night’s dream wedding in Sintra.
Floral on floral beauty and enchantment, swaths of linen fabric, bespoke bars, giant urns, all next to a topiary garden and under a canopy of mist, cooling the summer air.
Once the guests arrived in their splendid colourful gowns, all these elements gave a playful yet refined touch to the reception ahead.

Sunday Spotlight, today on stationery.
2025 was indeed a year of weddings and milestone birthday parties, one of which was a destination birthday in Puglia, Italy 🇮🇹
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Throughout the years we’ve been known to intentionally select and work alongside artists, illustrators, instinctively selecting the very best stationers for our clients.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The creative processes involved when designing an event always start with the venue, the art, colours and textures.
We are lucky to work alongside such creatives and it’s a skill to be able to weave together something that hasn’t been done before, but ends up being so cohesive.
This is an aspect of the creative part of our work that we so cherish and enjoy!

Celebrating today with the sunniest of colours, a symbol light and hope, a very Happy International Women’s Day 💛
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Last summer, this welcome dinner was designed evoking a retro 70’s palette of burgundy and lemon yellow hues.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Table settings were joyful, modern with a classic touches which included our butter yellow linens, white ironed garden chairs and burgundy cabbage ware.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Cocktails included oysters and very delicious canapés specially designed with greating guests to fresh seafood flavours so often used here.
The lemons and orchids in our favourite Lisbon palace, with the patterned azulejos in blue and white were so so chic 🍋

Monday blues 💙
What could give a beautiful sense of age more than these blue and white antique Portuguese Azulejo ceramic tiles, adorning so many special palaces here in Lisbon.

On a bright, sunny November day last year, we joined our creative forces and indulged in an afternoon of colour and joy (tabletop design workshop) in the beautifully appointed Estoril Vintage Hotel!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Showcasing our patterned table linens and napkins alongside our own curated vintage plates and other rental and silverware options. Jasmine explained the mix of colour and pattern choice for each of the tables shown and how to create sophisticated, comfortable atmospheres for your event and home.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These are bespoke forever pieces (so made-to-measure) and are an extension of what we already weave in throughout the events that we have been known to design.

Our aim is that our linens are used for whatever celebration you may be hosting, or simply to add a dash of maximalist theatrics for your home!

Entering 2026 just how we like, meaning international travel, sourcing fabrics & pieces for our interiors and events, with a splash of cocktails alongside our fellow industry peers!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A creatively fulfilling few days in Paris last week, with the interior design fair which is held annually in the artistic quarter of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
The cherry on the cake was being invited to an elegant, fun evening hosted by Embark at the Hotel De Crillon. So many familiar faces and it was lovely to have had the chance to catch up with everyone and make some new friends!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We stayed at the eternally under-stated French classic, Le Bristol, which amongst its many beauties boasts a pool which was designed to imitate a luxurious 1920’s sailing boat. It was such a treat to have swam their, and its located on the top floor, overlooking those quintessentially Parisian rooftops.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My favourite fabrics and wallpaper designers raised the bar once again with old world scenography and sumptuous patterns. Imagining what textures and colours will be used throughout the year is exciting and discovering new brands is so rewarding too. Here’s to a creative, elegant year!

Last Sunday post before Christmas 🎄
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ethereal vineyard winter landscape in the Douro Valley for our 2nd edition of our table setting workshop in collaboration with Brancoprata a few weeks ago!
A love for holiday decorating brought us to the Six Senses Douro Valley, showcasing our tablescaping delights and floral decorations for their special guests.
Sumptuous red vintage Portuguese silk damask was our first of four table settings shown here alongside moss green velvets, a selection of our pomegranate handmade Christmas candles and toile napkins from one of our favourite fabric designers, Manuel Canovas.
Sofia brought in exotic orchids which paired with green grapes, offset perfectly the Ginori plates and vintage cutlery which set the scene with colour and texture.
Special thanks for hosting us all we had a wonderful stay and have to say that the winter landscape was simply stunning 🍁♥️🍂
