Meet Our MC Ana Gusmão

In her own words, Ana describes herself as:

“An old(er) member of the Portuguese community, (but still young at heart) Ana has a tremendous love for all things Bluesy. She believes in a community, like the one in BJJ, that joins efforts for a welcoming dance scene, cherishes the culture that originated THE BLUES, and also plays a part in building a better world. Ana’s personal heroes are revolutionaries and musicians alike, and her eternal FOMO makes her a perfect helper to make them PARTY never ending.”

We’re very happy to welcome Ana Gusmão as one of our MCs for the Blues Juke Joint Weekend!

Our BJJW Venues 💙

As we get closer to the weekend, we’d like to introduce you to the two spaces that will host Blues Juke Joint Weekend 2026.

📍 A Beneficência Familiar
Our main festival venue, hosting the Partner Track classes and the Parties on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

📍 Bamu Zunta Mon
Bamu will host the Solo Track classes, as well as the Pre-Party and other activities throughout the weekend, including our Cultural Talk.

The two spaces are just 3–5 minutes’ walk from each other, so you’ll be moving between them throughout the weekend depending on the activity.

Two spaces, one weekend, one Juke Joint 🎶

See you soon in Porto!
