Ninety-eight players, coaches and family members. Five days. One shared experience.
Recently, we welcomed a football club from the United Kingdom to the Lisbon region for a tour designed to combine training, competition and time together away from home.
With teams ranging from U8 to U12/13, the group enjoyed two sessions at a football performance and skills training centre, a Benfica Pro Coaching session and a visit to the iconic Estádio da Luz and Benfica Museum, offering young players the chance to experience football from different perspectives.
On the pitch, every age group played two matches against local opposition, testing themselves in a new environment and gaining valuable experience against unfamiliar teams and playing styles.
Away from football, there was still plenty to enjoy. From time at the beach and visits to Colombo Shopping Centre to discovering the waterfront atmosphere of Seixal Bay, the trip offered opportunities to relax, explore and strengthen friendships beyond the game.
Football tours create memories that go far beyond results. They give young players the chance to grow together, experience a different culture and return home with stories that will stay with them for years to come.

Seven days. One group. Countless experiences.
Recently, we welcomed a school group from Latvia to Portugal for a week that blended adventure, culture, sport and plenty of time together.
From surfing Atlantic waves and cycling through some of Lisbon’s most iconic locations to spotting dolphins at sea, exploring the magical Quinta da Regaleira, tackling rock climbing and coasteering in Arrábida, and reaching the westernmost point of mainland Europe at Cabo da Roca, every day brought something different.
There was also time to discover Lisbon through a guided tour, learn new dance moves, enjoy a friendly bingo night, visit the home of Benfica, relax on the beach and simply make the most of being away with classmates.
School trips are about much more than travelling. They create opportunities for young people to challenge themselves, experience new places, strengthen friendships and return home with stories they will still be talking about long after the trip is over.
Thank you to the group for spending the week with us. It was a pleasure to be part of your Portuguese adventure.

Sport teaches us that there is much more at stake than just winning or losing.
What sport truly gives us is growth, unity, new cultures, and moments that become stories. In the end, the real legacy we carry with us in sport is not in the result, but in the experience and the journey. 💪🏼
