I have seen drinks dispensers everywhere this season, but unlike many trends, this is one I think is genuinely worth having.

A welcoming table is built one small detail at a time.

As I was setting the table for our family BBQ, I was reminded that the details guests remember are rarely the expensive ones.

A folded napkin, a few flowers, a place prepared with care, these small touches help create an atmosphere that feels warm and welcoming.

Beautiful hosting doesn’t need complicated food 🍉

This fresh watermelon, cucumber, mint and feta salad was served at our family BBQ on Sunday and it’s one of my daughter-in-law’s favourites for summer gatherings.

A drizzle of olive oil, balsamic and a little honey brings everything together so simply.

I always think the most beautiful entertaining is often the easiest, relaxed food, people helping in the kitchen, and everyone gathered around the table comfortably.

That, to me, is what S2E Living is really about 🤍

A chilled Saturday spent with fresh flowers from my favourite florist, herbs repotted into terracotta pots, and slow moments at home.

The older I get, the more I understand my mother and the quiet beauty of creating a warm, welcoming home with simple things used well.

S2E Living was never created around perfection or expensive living. It was created to gently inspire people to build homes slowly, thoughtfully and beautifully, with atmosphere, intention and pieces that truly last.

I truly believe beautiful living is not about endlessly buying more.

One thing I have learnt over the years is that creating a beautiful table at home rarely comes from having more.

It usually comes from choosing a few simple pieces you truly love and collecting them slowly over time — good plates, beautiful glassware, linen, candlelight, and food made to be shared.

This evening was a reminder that thoughtful simplicity will always feel more welcoming than excess 🌿

A simple evening, done well.

I wanted this dinner to feel calm, welcoming, and easy to enjoy. Soft lighting, a thoughtfully set table, good food, and everyone relaxed enough to simply be together.

It reminded me again that creating a beautiful atmosphere at home does not need to feel excessive or complicated.

Most of the time, it begins with good basics:
Linen, glassware you love, simple food, candlelight, and a home that feels warm and welcoming.

That is the kind of living I want S2E Living to continue celebrating: elegant simplicity that feels achievable, calm, and real 🌿
