Happy Independence Day to all.
However, I can't understand how I can fully celebrate this Independence Day with the circumstances we are facing in our country. Aerial firing, r**e cases, brutal murder cases, snatching cases, and all the things that are now happening in this country—we could never have imagined before, or we never ever thought that these things would become a part of this nation.
We always heard about these cases happening in other countries, especially India, highlighted them, and showed sympathy towards them. And now, I think India and other countries laugh at us when they see our helplessness regarding this country.
Once upon a time, we were those children who played on the streets and roads without any fear, and now we are truly scared to go anywhere alone. Because Pakistan is now going into a very difficult situation.
I really, really want to say to everyone that we suddenly start celebrating everything just for the sake of enjoyment, but we never raise our voices or take a stand to get justice for anyone.
Please do not stop. Please do not quit. This is our country. Our elders made so many sacrifices for this country. Do not waste them. Do not spoil it.
This is our nation, and we are the ones who make this country. I am not saying to do something huge, but you must speak up. You must join anything that can bring about a change in the system, even if it is a minor one.
This is our country, and we are the future of this country. If we want, we can change it—not just for ourselves, but for our daughters, mothers, brothers, fathers, and sisters, so they can feel secure and live safely in this country.
I hope we will all be celebrating the next Independence Day with significant changes and with our whole hearts.
