Hello delegates, I’m Umaizah Rahat, your chair for the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women at EIIMUN.

As a student of International Relations, I place strong emphasis on well-researched arguments, diplomatic conduct, and debate. Having spent several years in MUNs, I’ve witnessed a wide range of committee dynamics, and I expect this one to uphold both rigor and respect, reflecting national and international standards of debate alike.

I am Muhammad Saad, and I will be guiding you through this committee—not as a judge above you, but as a fellow seeker of ideas. My journey has wandered between the worlds of medicine, debate, and diplomacy, and what I have learned is this: every argument, every resolution, is less about proving a point and more about discovering the truth that lies hidden beneath it.
If you are willing to question, to be questioned, and to embrace both the certainty and the doubt of diplomacy, then you will find not just a Model UN, but a mirror of the world itself.

Muhammad Shayan Ibrahim is an MBA graduate from Pakistan. Public speaking runs through his veins. His MUN career started in 2012 at a local school MUN. Since then, he has risen through the ranks to become an outstanding member of the international MUN community, having won multiple awards as both a delegate and a chair member. Having chaired for top institutions like Cambridge, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table.
Other than that, he is the Founder and CEO of Diplomatic Youth International MUN, a platform on which the youth of today can voice out their opinions and work towards bringing positive change within themselves and out in the world. His work towards making a global impact has been recognized both internationally and locally.
He believes that by voicing our opinions, true and vital global changes can be made. Confidence is key, and without it those opinions will be lost forever. As he likes to say it, “Say something, say ANYTHING. YOUR opinion matters.”
