In TikTok, I saw some comments about members of the entourage going without food for hours on end, about guests who feel the buffet is being held hostage due to the long wait and program prior to meal time …
In all truth, food shouldn’t be held hostage. It should not be withheld, too. Otherwise, people may find it hard to clap, cheer, and function on the day.
What types of meals should one expect to budget for if one is getting married?
1) the guests main meal during the reception - everyone knows about this, it’s either via buffet or sit down service
2) cocktail time food - waiting time for your post nuptial shoot will most likely be an hour and a half plus a 30-minute program prior to the main meal time so please don’t serve just nuts and chips
3) preps meals - all those at your preps should be given meals (suppliers, family, entourage), those setting up also have meal requirements
4) crew meals - this is for the reception period
