From Dialaga-Kandori to Nikah: A Journey Guided by Qadr

Allahuma Barik lahum.

It began with Dialaga-Kandori — a formal meeting of two families, guided by tradition and by the will of Allah (SWT). Elders spoke with wisdom, and intentions were shared with respect, seeking what is halal and pleasing to Him. It was not about romance at first, but about honor, family, and unity between two homes.

Through respectful conversations, shared meals, and du‘a, two individuals slowly came to know one another. What began as ta‘aruf became understanding, and understanding grew into affection. Love matured with patience (sabr) and trust in Allah’s decree (Qadr).

The custom that brought them together became the path to nikah. In time, the union that started with Dialaga-Kandori reached the wedding day, where two families became one and Allah’s will was fulfilled as a lifelong amanah. There were no wedding preparations as expected — just faith, love, and trust in Allah. (MYAKATATAROSA in mranao term).
Indeed, Allah (SWT) is the Best Planner. !!
