Floral Offering for the Feast of St. Longinus of Cappadocia

Today, we honor St. Longinus of Cappadocia, the Roman centurion who stood at the foot of the Cross and pierced the side of our crucified Lord. The blood and water that flowed opened not only Christ’s Sacred Heart, but also Longinus’ own — awakening his faith and transforming his life forever.

Once a soldier of the empire, he became a soldier of Christ, boldly proclaiming the truth of the Resurrection. His steadfast faith led him to martyrdom, sealing his witness with courage and devotion.

Our floral tribute reflects the light of his conversion and the beauty of his unwavering faith:

In preparation for the Novena Mass in honor of Our Lady of Fatima at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima (Valenzuela City), every petal was chosen with love and meaning.

The Carousel & Esperance Roses embody purity, grace, and the promise of hope—reflections of Mary’s immaculate heart. The gentle Pastel Carnations in peach, yellow, green, old rose pink, and baby pink symbolize humility, eternal love, and the virtues of our Blessed Mother.

The Pink Oriental Stargazer Lilies radiate admiration and honor, lifting our intentions heavenward, while the cheerful Pink Gerbera Daisies mirror childlike joy and innocence, reminding us of Mary’s tender love. Lastly, the Sunlight Mums shine as a symbol of life, light, and the warmth of her maternal care.

Each bloom speaks of faith, gratitude, and reverence—woven together as a prayer offering for our dear Mother Mary.
