- Deadline for submission: March 26, 2025, until 12:00 midnight.

- Film format: Full-length film in HD 1080 resolution
- Official poster: Don’t forget to submit your official movie poster along with your film!

We hope that you are enjoying your journey to the Big Screen! The Malaybalay Community is just so excited to finally see your film entries!

but before anything else, here are some of the checklist you might want to consider before the Scheduled Film Premier:

1️⃣ Submit a small clip of a scene from your film on or before March 20, 2025.
2️⃣ Incorporate the official logo of the 27th City Charter Day in your film’s intro. Send us a direct message to receive a copy of the logo.
3️⃣ Finalize your film synopsis.
4️⃣ Deadline for submission of final entries: March 26, 2025.
5️⃣ Submission format: MP4 file on a USB drive or via an online Google Drive link (link to be provided upon request).

City in the Forest by Fernan Melendez, one of the official entries during the 1st IGPAAHA: Malaybalay short film competition sheds light on the urgent need for environmental preservation—an issue deeply tied to Malaybalay’s identity and history.

As we embrace modernity, how do we ensure that our cultural and natural heritage endures?

This season’s theme, ‘Kultura: The Challenge of Malaybalay’s Culture in Today’s Generation,’ dares 17 filmmakers to explore the struggles of preserving tradition in an evolving world. They are all ready to take on the challenge. watch out for the public screening on March 31, 2025.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who registered. Your passion for storytelling and filmmaking inspires us, and we can’t wait to see your creative works come to life!

17 Production Teams took the Challenge of telling their version of stories to this seasons theme: Kultura: The Challenge of Malaybalay's Culture in Todays Generation

a friendly reminder that;
✅ Only 6 entries will enter the Final Cut after the Committee Screening process.
✅ Our team will be reaching out to registered participants from time to time, so please stay updated.

A committee will be created to screen all submitted entries, however all films will be shown during the final screening to recognize the efforts of all participants.
