I am posting this message for everyone's awareness especially those who we're unintentioanlly involved.
I HAVE BEEN A VICTIM OF ONLINE PHISHING SCAMS.
with that, naay mga messages ga circulate containing my fullname, phone number, national ID number, and complete home address. some contains very spiteful words that instill fear ang uban sad asks help on my behalf na makabayad ug utang. the people na nasendan are those on my contact list.
I would like to apologize for the incovenience this has caused you, especially those gaka sendan 3 or more messages from unknown numbers with all the threats. dili nako ma control ang ilang ma contact na people kay na access akong whole contact list (gi delet na nako tanan nako contacts and nag change nako phone number as advised)
ONE THING IS FOR SURE. DILI TINUOD NAA KO GIPANG CO MAKER, AND DILI TINUOD NA KAMO AKO IPABAYAD KAY NAA MOY UTANG SA AKO HUHU. PLUS IF PANGAYOAN MOG KWARTA PLEASE AYAW JUD GIVE KAY SCAM JUD SYA.
I, along with my family have already worked legally to counter this. Nag file nako complaint sa Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit and have also submitted a sworn statement and affidavit regarding this.
BUT PLEASE KNOW DILI JUD DAW POSSIBLE ILANG MGA THREATS SUCH AS ADTOON MO SA INYONG BALAY, IPADAKOP SA PULIS, ILISTA AS DRUG ADDICT (Please lang 😡) Kay if naa physical person mag adto, meaning hatagan ta nilag opportunity maka file sa ila ug harrassment case. so the extent of what they can do is mang spam lang ug texts and calls.
However, I cannot control the messages circulating so I would like to ask if maka receive mo, please block the unknown numbers sending them. This may take a while around a week or two, sometimes a month pa daw.
AGAIN, I AM SO SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE. VICTIM RA SAD KO.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR UNDERSTANDING. I TOO AM REALLY UNDER SO MUCH DISTRESS BECAUSE OF THIS. IT'S STILL A LONG WAY BUT THIS TOO SHALL PASS.
