We've heard and read stories about the recent CosMania event โ attendees posting their feedback about the ill treatment by a few security personnel, declining event quality despite the increase in ticket prices, and other event concerns. We understand the sentiments of those who bought tickets but felt disappointed with how things went.
Since the founding of our flagship startup, Elegance Cosplays, we have been observing different event organizers and through it we even partnered with a few smaller ones. We have also sponsored its outreach programs, giveaways and treats for attendees at select events.
Organizing a major cosplay and hobbyist event is an undertaking filled with many challenges. We understand the efforts and the sentiments of those who work behind the scenes but somehow got caught in a net of harsh criticism.

Effective today, Elegance Cosplays will pause its attendee outreach, treats and giveaways, and ticket sponsorships, specifically at major events hosted by Cosplay PH at the SMX Convention Center Manila.
Any officer or staff member from Elegance Cosplays who chooses to engage in attendee outreach, hands out treats and giveaways, or sponsors tickets in such events will be doing so entirely on their own initiative and with their own resources. These activities will be unofficial and unfunded, and will not be presented as part of the Consortium's programs.
We will reallocate our resources towards smaller-scale events that have alternative arrangements and opportunities for cosplayers and hobbyists. We have also allocated resources towards a highly anticipated non-cosplay event this November.
This pause aims to give us space to consider more targeted approaches in cosplay and hobbyist events, and to find ways to help event organizers and attendees through our upcoming programs.

Just like you, we care about the quality of events, as well as the recognition of efforts of the event organizers and respect for the time and resources of the attendees. We all want events to look and feel wonderful just like in the pre-pand3m1c years.
If you have bad experiences with conventions, please DM, email, or comment on the social media posts of the event organizers. Your feedback can help them improve.
When we see innovations and improvements in these events, it drives not only ticket sales, but also small businesses and content creation within the cosplay community, and better and more enjoyable experiences for attendees.
