Title: 💻 Tita’s of VA’s: How I Faked It (With Grace) and Made It As a Virtual Assistant
Kung makakabalik lang tayo sa 2018, siguro sasabihan ko ang sarili ko ng “Hoy, seryosohin mo na ‘to!” That was the year I dipped my toes sa online jobs world—akala ko sideline lang, pang-extra income. Fast forward to 2020: pandemic hit, savings started to dry up, and with two kids (yep, isa graduating pa from high school), I knew I had to make a move.
So I did what any determined tita would do—I took a leap of faith, said “bahala na si Batman,” and restarted my Virtual Assistant life.
📦 The Amazon Comeback
I re-entered the VA world through Amazon. Di ako expert, pero alam mo ‘yung “fake it till you make it” mindset? Aba, gumana! I binged on free resources online—YouTube, forums, Google galore. I applied, got into an agency (psst, if you know, you know—I’ll whisper it to you), and that started everything.

🌞 The Perks of VA Life:
No more traffic. Hindi ko na kailangan magsapatos kung ayaw ko.
From tulog to trabaho in 5 minutes. Ligo? Optional.
Flexible schedule for my mom life.
Poging Boss. ‘Nuff said.
🤹♀️ The Cons? Meron din:
Minsan nami-miss ko ‘yung “Lunch tayo, bes?” office moments.
Wala ng chika sa pantry or quick yosi breaks kahit di naman nagyoyosi.
And yes, working from home means ikaw lahat—worker, IT, at minsan HR.
💪 The Glow-Up Is Real
Before, I was too shy to speak in English, lalo na sa Zoom. Now? Confident na ang tita nyo! Kayang-kaya na makipag-chikahan kahit pa British accent pa si client. (Char, pero kaya na kahit American. 😌)
This journey isn’t just about earning from home. It’s about building confidence, resilience, and pushing yourself kahit takot ka. From second-guessing myself to now managing Amazon accounts, juggling admin tasks, and being the boss of my own time—wala akong regrets.
