Yes, I am a housewife. And I say that with pride.✨️
Someone recently asked me what I do for a living.
I answered, "I'm a housewife."
He laughed and said, "Seriously?"
I smiled and replied, "Yes. I also host events and run a photo and video production team as my side hustle."📸🎤📽
But his reaction made me wonder..
Why do people look down on women who choose to become housewives?
Do people really think it's an easy job?
Being a housewife doesn't mean I'm unambitious. It doesn't mean I gave up on my dreams. It doesn't mean I'm doing nothing.
It means I chose to invest my time in the people I love the most.
My day starts at 4:00 AM. Before the world wakes up, I'm already preparing meals, cleaning the house, doing the laundry, washing the dishes, bringing my kids to school, picking them up, taking care of my husband and making sure our home runs smoothly.
Then I continue working on my side hustles whenever I can.
I don't clock in.
I don't clock out.
There are no coffee breaks, no paid leave, no bonuses, and no retirement plan.
Yet I wear countless hats every single day—mother, wife, cook, driver, teacher, nurse, cleaner, planner and the steady foundation of our home.
Some people measure success by a paycheck.
I measure it by the smiles of my children, the peace in our home, and knowing that my family is loved and cared for.
To every woman who chooses to stay home and raise a family: never let anyone make you feel small.
Your value is not determined by a job title or the size of your income.
The work you do builds families, shapes future generations and creates a home where love grows.
That is not weakness.
That is strength.
That is sacrifice.
That is leadership.
And that deserves nothing but respect.
Yes, I am a housewife. Not "just" a housewife.
I am the heart of my home—and I couldn't be prouder.💪
