It warms our hearts kapag may mga clients na talagang nagtitiwala sa atin at paulit-ulit tayong tinatawag para sa bawat event nila. Parang 'yung feeling na, "Uy, alam na nila kung ano ang kaya kong i-deliver!"
Pero how do we turn 'yung one-time event/client into a long-term or repeat client? Like, paano mo sila ma-convince na ikaw na lang lagi ang tatawagan nila?
I have my share of repeat clients and I agree with Miriam Wexler that these truly work:
1. Show that you care about their goals. Beyond the grand setup, gusto nila 'yung mga suppliers na nakaka-gets ng vision nila. Find out kung ano talaga ang gusto nilang mangyari sa event nila. ano yung "why" nila for their event, then find ways to help them achieve their goals.
Whether it's creating brand impact sa corporate function or delivering an unforgettable experience for their wedding or birthday party, ipakita mo na talagang invested ka sa success ng event nila.
2. Stay in touch even after the event. 'Pag tapos na ang event, hindi ibig sabihin na tapos na rin ang relationship natin with our client. If you want to be "top of mind" tuwing may event sila, kailangan mong magparamdam every now and then. Send a follow-up note, check if na deliver na yung photo album nila, and maybe even a "How's business?" email a few months later. If you're friends with your clients on Facebook or Instagram, like or comment kayo sa post nila. Wag tayo magparamdam just because you want to close a sale.
It's a simple gesture that shows that you're not there just for the money. This turns clients into friends, and friends into long-term business partners. Why? Because they are our "marketing team". They will endorse you to their friends because they know how you work. Ibibida ka pa nila. Promise.
3. Add value consistently. Share insights, offer advice, encouragement or drop a quick note about new trends that might interest them. Hindi kailangang mag effort ng bongga; forwarding relevant articles or trends they can consider for future events will do. If your client is constantly exposed to stress and you're friends on Facebook, forward a funny joke or something they love. I have a client who loves Hello Kitty. So if I find something online I share it with her. It warms my heart when I know I can make my client smile and feel good.
This shows them that you're more than just a supplier, you're a resource, and someone who genuinely wants to help them.
4. Go the extra mile. Offer to help them with something beyond your usual scope. Think outside the box. Offer to help with things that they might not even think of. Maybe you can create a custom playlist for their event or suggest a unique activity for their guests. Di pwede dito yung "di ko trabaho yan" mentality. Extra mile nga e.
5. Be reliable. Always be on time, meet your deadlines, and communicate clearly. This builds trust and shows them that you're someone they can depend on. Update natin palagi si client about the progress of their event.
Kapag sinabi mo, gawin mo. Wag natin paasahin ang client if di naman talaga kaya.
6. Be a good listener. Take the time to really understand your client's needs and goals. Ask questions and listen carefully. Seek clarification to make sure that you understand your client.
Communication is key and it is important to be sure that you're on the same page. One of the most sincere forms of respect is listening to what the other person has to say. It shows that you're allowing the client to give their input and you value their contribution.
7. Be flexible. Be willing to adapt to your client's needs and make changes as needed. Kapag nagkaproblema, don't just point out the challenges. Offer solutions and work together to find a way to make things work.
There will also come a time when you'll meet a client with a strong personality. Kahit anong gawin mo, di mo makuha ang "kiliti". My goodness. This one is really hard. I had a client na nag clash ang personality namin. Ang hirap mag adjust.
This will test you and your willingness to adjust but if you do, this will show that you're committed to making their event a success.
8. Be professional. Always be polite, respectful, and courteous. This creates a positive impression and makes them feel valued. Kahit masbata sa akin nagpo-po at opo ako. But that's just me.
Even when things get stressful, try to stay positive. Wag ipasa sa client ang stress. This will help you create a more enjoyable experience for your clients.
Turning clients into repeat business is about trust, value, and authenticity.
When they know you're someone they can rely on, they'll keep coming back.
Let me know what you think!
