Just this morning, as I was putting the final touches on Lovelyn Tadura’s gown for tonight’s Mutya ng Tubod Turnover Ceremony, a song suddenly played—“Saksi ang Langit” by December Avenue. And in that moment, it felt like God was reminding me of everything He had done, every prayer He had heard, and every blessing He had made possible.

It was more than just a song playing in the background. It was a moment of realization—a beautiful reminder that when God writes our story, even the smallest details become meaningful.

Our “God did it” moment. 🥹✨

Because sometimes, we don’t need grand signs to recognize His presence. Sometimes, a song is enough to remind us that He has been with us all along.

Inspired by the legend of the Sagingan Festival, this golden festival attire brings to life the enchanting story of Sagingan Festival’s fairy Good Tunong, the mystical guardian of Tubod’s abundance and prosperity.

Adorned in radiant shades of golden yellow, the costume symbolizes the richness of banana harvests, the warmth of the sun, and the blessings bestowed upon the Municipality of Tubod. This magical and radiant red puso ng saging (banana blossom)—is the sacred gift that promises peace, prosperity, and bountiful harvests to the people.

MUTYA NG TUBOD 2026 CANDIDATE # 10 FLORA JOY GORDONCILLO: SAGINGAN FESTIVAL COUTURE: “THE WATERS OF TUBOD, THE BOUNTY OF SAGING”

Inspired by the name Tubod, meaning a source of water, this festival attire celebrates the life-giving waters and fertile soil that nurture the abundance of banana varieties in the Municipality of Tubod. The shimmering shades of blue, crystal droplets, and flowing embellishments symbolize the municipality’s precious water resources, while the lush green banana shoot represents growth, prosperity, and the enduring legacy of the Sagingan Festival.

More than a celebration of nature’s bounty, this creation embodies the harmonious relationship between water, land, and harvest—a tribute to the resilience, richness, and pride of every Tubodnon. For where water flows, life flourishes, and where the soil is rich, the golden promise of the Sagingan Festival continues to thrive.
