KONAKOU VILLAGE SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE 2026
Many people have never heard of Konakou Village, a small and remote village in Central Province, Papua New Guinea. It is my home village, a place filled with strong families, rich culture, resilient people, and a community that believes in building a better future for the next generation.
Recently, something truly inspiring happened.
Through the dedication of the Konakou Seventh Day Adventist church and village leaders, Konakou has opened its very first Early Childhood Learning Centre and Adult Literacy Program.
Today, the school serves:
25 young children
19 adult learners
7 volunteer teachers
As with many rural communities, resources are limited. Many students begin their learning journey without the basic school supplies they need.
That's why I'm launching the Konakou School Supply Drive.
We're collecting:
📚 Exercise books
✏️ Pencils & pens
🖍️ Crayons & colour pencils
📖 Children's story books
📄 A4 paper & butcher paper
🧑🏽🏫 Teacher resource books
🪑 Sitting mats
⚽ Outdoor balls
🇵🇬 Papua New Guinea National Flag
🏳️ Central Province Flag
🖤 Two blackboards …and other school supplies.
