Back home where the seafood is always fresh!!! 😁
There are so many different ways of enjoying Mud mussels or locally know as ‘ipa’ and this is one way to enjoy them. Cooked over the fire with a squeeze of lemon juice. They are Salty, tangy and sooooo good ✨

Golden mornings in Daru Island 🌅🔥

Out here, it’s laid back, breakfast isn’t rushed, it’s an experience. Fresh dough frying slowly over an open fire, the sound of oil bubbling and that golden crust forming just right. While we tell stories, crack jokes and catch up on what’s happened the previous day. 😁
Fried flour is a simple food, a breakfast staple on the island but it carries so much,tradition,meaning and that real island lifestyle. Sometimes it’s had on its own or accompanied by fried fish or prawns and a nice hot cup of sweet black tea.

No fancy kitchen and no shortcuts, just firewood, patience and flavors that remind you where you are. This is how mornings start on the island 🤍

In business, it’s okay to feel a little down when things don’t go as planned, especially when factors like the weather are out of your control.
Due to the heavy rainfall in during the day, we were unable to set up stall at the designated spot for the SME markets but instead we opted to doing delivery within the estate and some food packs still made it out today. So, a huge thank you to everyone who came through and supported, especially our Kennedy Estate residents.

The weather didn’t fully play nice, but we made the most of it. The remaining packs were shared with family and friends, so nothing went to waste. ❤️

We have learned from this experience to adapt, stay positive and keep working towards our goals.
Grateful always for the support and we are keen for the next one! 💪🏽🍽️

We will be at the same spot again tomorrow from 7am till whenever we run out of food 😁
