An inspiring display of unity, discipline, and national pride as we build toward PNG’s 50th Independence celebrations.

From the powerful march to the uplifting sounds of the Australian Defence Force Band and the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary Police Force Band 🎶👏-this was a day to remember.

Sir Ignatius Kilage Stadium came alive on 16th September 2025 as Anslom Nakikus and his Band lit up the stage during the 50th Golden Jubilee Celebrations.🥳

Bass – Edwin Oa
Lead Guitar – Kossman Joe (Kossy)
Keys 1 – Jukii Semeso
Keys 2 – Emmanuel Muganaua (ToxicMahn)

Today, Lae City proudly hosted the Joint Forces Show of Strength March at Eriku Oval ,one of the key highlights leading into our nation’s 50th Independence Anniversary celebrations 🇵🇬💯

We were honored to have the Deputy Prime Minister & Member for Lae, Hon. John Rosso, as the Guest of Honor.
His continued commitment and leadership to bring meaningful programs and uniting events to our people is truly commendable.

The march was a powerful display of unity, discipline, and national pride by our joint forces, symbolizing the strength and resilience of Papua New Guinea as we prepare to mark this historic milestone.

A heartfelt thank you to the Australia Defence Force Band and our very own Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary Police Force Band for their outstanding musical performances that added color, energy, and spirit to the event 🎶👏 Their presence reminded us that music has the power to bring people together and lift the celebration to another level.

Lae City turned out in numbers, with leaders, families, and communities standing side by side to witness and celebrate this grand occasion.
