On Easter Friday, I had the absolute honour of officiating a ceremony that reminded me exactly why I do what I do. 🤍

A love story over 60 years in the making…
A journey that crossed oceans, lived through other chapters, and somehow found its way back home.

Together, they’ve reunited, blended their families, and fallen in love all over again.

It was a beautiful reminder that love doesn’t have a timeline. It doesn’t expire. It doesn’t matter how old we are or where life has taken us — love and hope are always there, waiting.

I feel incredibly grateful to have been a small part of such a meaningful day.

Thank you to all of those that were able to attend yesterday to my Whanganui Christmas Market.

My heart is bursting with gratitude & my feet are sore... but gosh.... I keep pinching myself that I get to create moments like this for our community that support small businesses & we can support worthwhile charities within our community like Brass Whanganui!

If you know me, you know that I am led by my heart both personally & professionally.
Tomorrow is kinda like wearing my heart on my sleeve so to speak.
My River City Christmas Market is very much heart driven.
Heart for my community, heart for small businesses & heart for charity.
This year is set to be the biggest yet & my heart is bursting with joy & a few nerves to be honest!

If you have been at one of my events over the past few years, you will know how important it is to me to give back to charitable groups in our community at every event I run.
There are so many worthwhile groups / charities / organisations that all need more funding & profile lifting within our region.
It's such a hard decision every time & it is never one I make lightly.... ask my long suffering husband! I am excited for a wee shift in direction for this years charity partner for our iconic Whanganui Christmas Market!

The Whanganui Christmas Market is thrilled to announce that
Brass Whanganui are the Charity Partner for this year’s
Whanganui Christmas Market!

This iconic Whanganui band traces its history back to the 1860’s & has had a presence at Pukenamu Queens Park & within our community ever since.
Brass Whanganui consists of two full size brass bands with approximately 80 members ranging from primary school aged beginners through to members in their 60’s & everyone in-between.
The band is currently fundraising for renovations to the building, new
uniforms, national contest & keeping the lights on!
Brass Whanganui is one of the most innovative & artistically focused bands
in the country with events such as Sound Canvas & making their annual
appearance at Vintage Weekend, ANZAC Day & of course Christmas!

Brass Whanganui and Christmas go together trifle & custard so the
Whanganui Christmas Market is a perfect fit & they can’t wait to add to the
festive vibe of what is an iconic event in Whanganui.
Come along to the Whanganui Racecourse of December 14th, shop to your
hearts content at Whanganui’s largest night market which has stalls ranging from christmas crafts, clothing, home décor, art & we could go on & on!
Oh...... & don’t forget about our huge array of legendary food carts, so come hungry!
