As the days have gotten shorter and colder the garden has slowed down. Flowers are still blooming but due to the weather and other work commitments I will only be doing bunches of flowers on Friday’s until the blooms stop or the rain really sets in!
I will update on this page and instagram stories if and when flowers are ready on Fridays!

I’ve been experimenting baking with eatible flowers lately. Cornflowers are a fantastic flower that can be cooked and still retain color without browning. Adds such a cute wee additional to melting moments! Eatible flowers don’t just need to be garnishes on top of food but in it as well! If you have any questions on eatible flowers let me know!

Sweet peas hold such good childhood memories for me and are a staple in my garden. My parents are very keen gardeners and from a very young age I remember them growing metres and metres of them in Dads vegetable garden on purposely built frames and throughout the spring summer there was an abundance of beautiful bright flowers.
For a few years there, I would go out with my buckets of sweet peas to the top of the drive on our very busy street with my blackboard on a Saturday and sell them $2 a bunch I recall - I suppose this was the start of selling bunches of flowers for me at about age 7! Hehe!!

Loving Memory Rose is a special rose in our family as it is a remembrance rose for my nephew Samuel who passed away nearly 30years ago. He was my best friend and practically a brother to me. I think of him daily and miss him terribly.
This year I finally brought my own rose plant and it definitely did not disappoint!
