Foraged Flora is a small cutting garden in the South Wairarapa, north east of the small township of Featherston.

The philosophy of the business is to provide affordable, sustainably grown , seasonal flowers to the local community. All flowers and foliage grown on our property are organically grown and we work with other flower farmers to bring you flowers throughout the year. Our posies and bunches are available for sale at Adamsons Service Station in Featherston, Pinehaven in Greytown and Mobil in Carterton.

Well spring is here along with the wicked winds from the west! It’s always interesting to see what is still standing after a big blow, it’s not always as you’d expect, often plants closer to the ground fare better 😆

It’s feeling like a golden morning with all those medals 🥇 (go the Silver Ferns!) and the mornings and evenings are slowly but surely getting lighter 🌅 roll on summer!

It’s been a dreary few days but the early daffodils and snow drops are flowering despite the weather! 🌧️ Another sign that spring isn’t too far away is the delivery of these beautiful early tulips 🌷 which arrived from a Manawatu grower this week. The curious thing about tulips is they keep growing after they’re picked so I push them a bit deeper into the bunches so they’ll be popping out in a day or two. 😊
