Behind the scenes at Olivia Rose Bridal… 🤍

Who needs a gym membership when you spend your days lifting wedding dresses? 😅

My hubby caught me on camera today putting dresses back on the racks after an appointment, and it got me thinking… does anyone actually realise how heavy wedding dresses are?!

A single wedding dress can weigh several kilos, and when you’re moving multiple gowns, steaming them, carrying them to fitting rooms, and carefully returning them to the racks all day, it’s definitely a workout! 💪

We don’t often share the behind-the-scenes moments, but this is what happens between all the beautiful bridal appointments. Lots of lifting, lots of fluffing, lots of steaming, and plenty of love goes into keeping every gown looking perfect for the next bride.

Just a little fun fact from behind the scenes at Olivia Rose Bridal — the dresses may look light and dreamy, but my arms know otherwise! 😂

Having recently celebrated her 10-year wedding anniversary and currently helping her sister plan her wedding, Yasmeen understands just how meaningful and exciting the bridal journey can be. She knows that finding your dress is about so much more than fabric and lace—it’s about discovering the gown that feels like you.

Today I’m sharing a few Google reviews, and reading through them reminded me of something…

Last October, my little family and I took a trip to the Gold Coast. Spending that uninterrupted time together made me realise just how much I had been missing while pouring every weekend and evening into my business.

Since then, I’ve tried to create a little more balance, and Emma has stepped up in the most incredible way, helping at the boutique almost every weekend. More recently, after losing a family member, I was reminded again how precious time is and how quickly life can change.

It made me reflect on why I started Olivia Rose Bridal in the first place.

Every weekend, we get to witness some of life’s most beautiful moments. The tears, the laughter, the excitement, and the pride on the faces of mums, sisters, aunties, and friends. These are the moments that stay with you.

Emma and I pour our hearts into every appointment because we know finding a wedding dress isn’t just about choosing a gown—it’s about creating a memory.
