It’s not often a band as exciting as Half/Angel emerges in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. Less than a year since their inception, their name has become a whispered promise across the city’s music scene, with many already declaring them next in line to the throne. Now, at the height of their powers, they’re channeling the raw energy that’s made them a household name into a one-night-only performance at San Fran on November 27th.

Half/Angel and Goose Garden are delighted to present a supporting lineup woven from their favourite voices in the scene. A standout among them is 𝗠𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗪𝗔𝗜𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦, who conjured one of Aotearoa’s most enchanting indie releases of 2024 with Bright Black Night. We’re also delighted to invite 𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗠𝗔𝗘, who left audiences bewitched when she first unveiled her atmospheric folk on Te Whanganui-a-Tara stages last year. Following the release of their debut album TREK and a string of sold-out shows across Sydney (Eora), Brisbane (Meanjin), and Melbourne (Naarm), Sydney post-punk trio Shady Nasty announce their debut tour in Aotearoa/New Zealand this September. A world bound by modding cars, immigrant heritage and digital obsessions, Kevin Stathis, Haydn Green and Luca Watson, together play a left-field breed of punk that recalibrates their formal training to its most uncustomary extremes. Wherever they play and no matter the room size, devout adherents clammer to propel a heaving mosh. Experience TREK live as Shady Nasty debut the record with an all-new live show, with special guests to be announced.

Recently, the group has shared stages with Skeleten, Shame, High Vis, Ho99o9, Sleaford Mods, Gustaf, Amyl and The Sniffers, among others. Through their own headline shows, they’ve cultivated a cult following across Sydney’s underground — including a sold-out run of album shows earlier this April. No matter the venue, no matter the bill, devout adherents clamber to propel a heaving mosh.
