I’m incredibly proud to have held the Papamoa Town Centre contract for the past six years. It’s been such a privilege to play a part in this community’s growth and to lead creative projects that inspire not just our generation, but the ones to come. Last night, we kicked off the countdown to the PAK'nSAVE Pāpāmoa Superhero Parade with an incredible info evening! This beloved community event is all about bringing people together to celebrate creativity, teamwork, and festive joy.

On December 8th, more than 400 volunteers will come together to create 110 metres of spectacular floats, guaranteed to light up the region with smiles and inspiration. A highlight of the evening? The return of the coveted Pāpāmoa Plaque, which spent the past year with the incredible double reigning champions, Maungatapu Primary. The competition is on—who will take the title of Best Float Overall 2024?

And can we just take a moment to appreciate the festive magic of the Papamoa Plaza Santa Grotto? It’s absolutely stunning—a perfect way to capture the spirit of the season.

This parade is a testament to what our community can achieve together, and we can’t wait to see everyone on December 8th for a celebration like no other. Let’s make this year the best yet! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️

🌟🦸‍♀️ Papamoa's Superhero Santa Parade – The Countdown is On! 🦸‍♂️🌟 With just under 3 weeks to go, the streets of Papamoa are gearing up for an unforgettable celebration! On Sunday, 8th December, Tauranga’s Official Santa Parade is back, and we’re bringing all the SUPERHERO ENERGY you can handle.

This year’s parade promises to be bigger, brighter, and filled with true Papamoa pride. From creative superhero-themed floats to the arrival of the Big Man in Red himself, this event is a can’t-miss for over 20,000 attendees!

Event Highlights
🦸‍♂️ Superhero Showcase: Watch Tauranga’s own superheroes take over the streets of Papamoa
🎉 A Decade of Heroes: A heartfelt thank you to Pak'N Save Papamoa for their 10 years of incredible support through Papamoa Unlimited, our not-for-profit team making it all happen.
🎅 The Big Finale: By 12:30 PM, the parade wraps up at Papamoa Plaza, where Santa himself will be waiting in his magical grotto to greet the little ones!

🚦 Traffic Management:
Road closures begin at 9:00 AM, reopening as the parade progresses.
Fencing will be in place from 5:00 AM near Papamoa Plaza.
🚌 Bus Schedule Changes: Be sure to check Tauranga City bus updates on their website!

Tauranga businesses, schools, clubs, community groups, and not-for-profits, here’s your chance to be part of a beloved holiday tradition! This year, we’re celebrating a Superhero Christmas and we want YOU to help make it extraordinary.

Be a superhero for our community and showcase your festive spirit, creativity, and connection to Tauranga! Whether you’re a local business looking to give back, a school eager to share some cheer, or a sports club with team pride, we welcome you all to join the parade.

Entries are free but don’t miss out—registrations close at 5 PM on Friday, November 15th.

We’ll be holding a Parade Health & Safety Info Evening on Monday, November 18th at Pāpāmoa Plaza from 6:00 to 6:45 PM to answer questions, review parade details, and ensure a safe and spectacular event for everyone involved.
