Another happy couple who booked my Let's Elope package. Married at a local restaurant, with a roaring fire (against the cold rain outside) with 20 people, yummy food, gorgeous cakes, heartfelt words.

In the world of weddings, trends come and go, A LOT it may seem! But remember, your wedding is about celebrating you both as a couple, not following a rulebook or curating social media content. Whatever the trend may be, don't feel pressured to follow every single one or any at all!

Instead, plan your wedding in a way that reflects who you are as a couple. If a particular trend aligns with your vision, go for it! But if not, that's perfectly fine, too. Focus on what makes you happy, what feels genuine and authentic - because being in the moment and soaking up those wedding emotions with the people who mean the most to you is what it's all about.

The school holidays are a time for catch up - meet couples, write ceremonies for the upcoming season, get my eyebrows done, SLEEP IN... But today I was up early to prepare for a presentation to the U3A Avonhead (The University of the Third Age) group. My dear friend, Ange, talked about the many backstage roles that she has done in the last 8 years and the process of putting on a show, and I talked about being on the stage and what that entails.
I think they are going to ask me back to talk about what a celebrant does. Yay!

This lovely couple have been married an hour! Her lovely, soon to be 90, mum zoomed in from overseas.
They brought out the champagne afterwards and we raised a toast.
A super fun way to finish my working day.

I finally managed to fit a Pride Pledge workshop into my schedule this week! Yay!
The purpose of these training workshops are bang on.
To reduce harm we need to understand. To be a good ally we need to know what is required of us.
A huge shout out to Pride Pledge for the amazing work they do!!!
It is essential that we educate ourselves about how to create a better world for EVERYONE.
I'm looking forward to the next workshop. 🥰🏳️‍🌈
