One whole week since methvencraftfair !

First, I want to say a huge thank you to Lauriston School Support for organising such a wonderful event and for creating such a lovely day for local businesses, makers and growers to come together.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Mt Hutt Blooms stall, had a chat, shared your gardening stories and took home some of our dahlia tubers. Your support means so much, and it was wonderful to meet so many fellow flower and garden lovers!

We’re now looking ahead to an exciting new growing season, and there’s lots happening behind the scenes here on our The Redmonds

For those who haven’t discovered Bellmond Gardens yet, it’s our one acre garden on our farm where we’re developing a beautiful, productive garden filled with seasonal flowers, vegetables and plenty of garden inspiration.

Over the coming seasons, we’ll be sharing the journey as Bellmond Gardens grows. It’s a bit overgrown and weedy at the moment, but I’m excited for the years to come! From planting and growing, to harvesting flowers, creating garden spaces, workshops and eventually welcoming visitors to enjoy the garden for themselves.

So if you’ve enjoyed following Mt Hutt Blooms, we’d love you to come and follow the next chapter too.

If you’ve driven past the flower stand this year and wondered where the flowers went… they didn’t go anywhere.

They’ve been growing more than ever!

But this year I stepped back from selling from our wild and wonderful here on our .

Between raising children, helping to run our growing farm business, and truthfully, getting a little more sleep, Ive been making the most of this last season before our youngest starts school.

I still picked flowers when someone really needed them. And every time I walked through the dahlia beds I thought of the many people who have supported our wee flower venture over the years — especially the regulars who have supported our Mt Hutt Blooms right from the very beginning.

So this is just a quiet note to say, I’m still here.The flowers are still growing and next season, our Little Shop will be open again!

P.s If you are wondering where all of these blooms are heading, they will be decorating our children’s primary school fundraising site at the Methven Ploughing Match and Country Fair. Myself, along with a whole host of wonderful parents will be selling Devonshire teas, baking, and coffee to raise funds for learning support at our children’s school. If you are about please come and say hi!
