Dahlia Cuttings...
I feel like everyone has a different idea on this- But this is what works for me 🌱
What you'll need- potting medium...
I use succulent soil
Good quality potting mix
And perlite.
Cloning gel- I use clonex.
A sharp clean knife
And small pots.
It's a easy way to build up stock of your absolute favorites, my cuttings did better than some of my tubers I brought last year and produced plenty of tubers!
How to go about it? I pot my tubers up on arrival and set them on shelves for awhile. When they start to sprout I pick dahlias that have multiple shoots and cut one off.
I wet my potting medium, use the top of a vivid to make a hole in soil, nip the cotyledon leaves off after dipping cutting in clonex and chuck her in!
