There’s something quietly magical about a wedding that ends with a picnic by the water… 🥂

After their heartfelt ceremony on Vanguard we flew to Lochnagar, where Daniel and Kelsey wandered down to the lake’s edge, where a picnic blanket, a beautifully styled hamper, and a bottle of bubbles were waiting just for them.

No rush. No noise. Just the two of them, soaking in that just-married feeling in one of the most breathtaking places imaginable.

As their celebrant, I had the privilege of standing alongside them as they made their promises — and then watching them step into this next chapter in the most relaxed, joy-filled way.

This is what I love most… creating space for moments that feel completely and utterly you 🤍

Big thanks to Heliworks Queenstown for the fabulous flights and to Mountain Weddings for absolutely everything

Kevin & Jill
Lake Erskine in Fiordland National Park

A stunning Friday in Fiordland.

Two helicopters, their closest family, and a ceremony filled with meaning.

Jill’s mother spoke so beautifully, and their vows were deeply heartfelt — the kind that hold everyone quietly in the moment.

As their celebrant, I felt incredibly honoured to stand with them in such a special place, witnessing a ceremony that was intimate, emotional, and truly their own.

A very special beginning.

Big thanks to the teams at aMoment Wedding and Heliworks Queenstown couldnt have done it without you 😉

Messages like this fill my heart ❤️

We would like to say a big thank you to Queenstown Wedding Celebrant - Phillipa Cook for taking our story and creating a beautiful ceremony that reflected us. It brought a tear to our eye and at the same time caused us to laugh. She listened, and delivered in her promise that it’s our day, our way. Highly recommend. Thanks again 🤍

There’s something incredibly special about being invited into a moment like this. 🏔️🤍

As their celebrant, I had the privilege of standing alongside these two as they chose each other in the most simple and meaningful way — surrounded by the mountains of Queenstown.

Just the two of them, no distractions, only intention and love.

And the florals… absolutely exquisite. Thoughtfully chosen and perfectly at home in that landscape, created by the very talented team at aMoment styling.

A beautiful reminder that less truly can more.

There’s something very special about a couple who choose a day that feels entirely their own — and Travis & Melody did exactly that.

I had the absolute privilege of standing alongside them as their celebrant, witnessing a ceremony that was as joyful, vibrant, and heartfelt as the two of them.

Melody’s vision of lemon yellow wasn’t about following a trend — it was about honouring who she is. Warm, spontaneous, and quietly confident. Every detail reflected that beautifully, from soft buttery tones through to rich golden hues… and yes, even the yellow carrots.

Their ceremony felt light, full of laughter, and deeply personal — the kind that reminds everyone present what a wedding is truly about: love, connection, and a shared sense of joy.

Queenstown offered the mountains, and Travis & Melody brought the sunshine.

A big thank you to the wonderful team at aMoment for their incredible talent and skill in bringing this day to life 💛

Such a pleasure to be part of this unforgettable celebration.

Yesterday was one of those days that will stay with me for a long time 🩷

I took part in Hike for a Cure — a big, beautiful, and at times challenging day out on the trails, with close to 1700m of elevation and plenty of moments that asked a little more of me.

There were stretches of quiet, moments of doubt… and also that deep sense of purpose that comes from being part of something bigger than yourself.

It made me reflect on the journeys I’m so often invited into as a celebrant. Because whether it’s standing on a mountainside or standing beside a couple on their wedding day, the most meaningful moments are never about perfection — they’re about presence, intention, and heart.

Feeling grateful, a little sore, and very proud 💖

A year ago today, I stood not as a celebrant… but as a very proud mother of the bride 🤍

Watching our beautiful daughter Steph marry Thomas was one of those moments where time seemed to stand still — full of love, laughter, and more than a few happy tears.

Being on the “other side” of a wedding day gave me an even deeper appreciation for just how meaningful these moments truly are — not only for the couple, but for everyone who loves them.

Happy first anniversary, Steph and Thomas — may your journey together continue to be filled with love, kindness, and shared adventures ❤️

After a lovely two-week break from ceremonies, I recently returned to do what I love most — celebrating a beautiful elopement. 💍

At one point, as the couple exchanged their vows, I couldn't help but roar with laughter right alongside them — and thankfully it was captured! Moments like these remind me why I'm so grateful to be a celebrant: every ceremony has its own rhythm, its own joy, and its own magic. ❤️

There's something truly special about intimate weddings — just the couple, their promises, and those unexpected bursts of laughter that make the day unforgettable.

What's the most joyful wedding moment you've ever witnessed?

This week was something special 🧧

I had the honour of officiating 8 Chinese ceremonies during Lunar New Year — a time of renewal, family, and blessings.

Being invited into these moments across different traditions and cultures is something I never take for granted.

So grateful to the families who trusted me with such meaningful celebrations this week.

Gong hei fat choy to those celebrating! ✨
