Kia ora e te whānau, I hope everyone made it home alright and you all get a chance to chill! The link below will give you access to all of the documents we handed out during our Wānanga sessions. I have created a document called 'Te Hau Huata Reunion 2024 - Te Tiriti Info' for those of you who wanted more info specifically about Te Tiriti o Waitangi...you'll see in the document there's a range of resources you can WATCH/READ/LISTEN. I'll run an online session in a couple months on Te Tiriti o Waitangi so we can continue the kōrero. Ka nui te aroha ki a koutou x

***Update***

Hato Pāora will be open from 12pm Sunday 22 December for whānau to start arriving and to stay. We will have a whakatau (short welcome)at 4pm just for Cam to welcome those that are onsite. The roster of duties will not begin until Tuesday 24th December (Xmas Eve) from when the reunion begins. There will still be a pōwhiri at 11am on Christmas Eve.

Update below on our total budget so far for our reunion (Merch money is seperate to this). The total budget is what the siblings (mum etc) will have to work from, they will allocate money for budgets such as kids activities, adults antics, kai etc.

If you still wanna attend whānau but haven’t paid yet, that’s algud, just let us know so we have all our total numbers and pay when you can (before reunion starts lol).

Here are your total costs. When payment is made I'll update the google doc. Just a reminder for all money to be in by next Wednesday, then I will be able to place the order with our guy. If you still want to add an order and pay before next Wednesday, let me know, I can add it to the doc.

Alternatively, if we want to place a second order at the end of November, early December, we can do that for any whānau who missed out on this one OR want to order more.

Kia ora e te whānau,

I have spoken with my mate that is gonna do our merch. I am going to put the order through to him in 2 weeks time today, 14/11/24.

Can we please have the money in by 12/11/24 so that we can get the merch started. I will put up a post here later tonight with each whānau’s total cost. We can’t place the order until the money is in. Money can be paid into the same bank account, please put the whānau name (the same one you put in the order form) and merch as the reference.

Let me know if anyone has any questions. The bank account number is below.

Mōrena e te whānau, I’ve shared with those that have requested the Order form doc for our merch. If you don’t use docs or email is not your thing, comment on the post your order and I can add it to the order form for you. Will leave the post up for another 2 weeks and see how we’re going.

June and I are doing up an itinerary and want suggestions on activities for our reunion. If aunties and uncles want to jump in on this itinerary organisation, let us know. We just wanted to get started. So far we have the 24th semi sorted with a pōwhiri, kai, settling in and hāngi and kai prep for Christmas Day. Remember we have a pool, a big gym, big TVs everywhere, wifi, big fields, courts etc so we've got lots of different areas to work with.

These prices are subject to getting 20 pieces of each item. If 20 of each item is not ordered, the price per item will increase.

We will leave this open for 2 weeks from today (close Friday 18 October), after which, we will confirm order with supplier and confirm all costs. Once this is complete, we will give a date for money to be in, it will be approximately a month from the confirmation from supplier.
