I have been involved with Southland Weddings for a few years now, but the time has come for me to move on to new things and let someone else take the reigns.

I have an absolute blast meeting the most amazing vendors in Southland; we've shared good wine, food and loads of laughs along the way 😊🩷

Lucky for y'all I'm leaving you in great hands. is going to take on Southland Weddings going forward and I sincerely wish her all the best 🩷🩷
A lot of you will already know her and how involved with the wedding industry she has been over the years.

WEDDING TRENDS 2024 | what are your thoughts on some of these??

1. Mini bouquet - a bit more understated, but something that is fast becoming popular with brides and wedding parties, definitely a winner on your budget too

2. Small or no wedding party - apparently larger bridal parties are on their way out; couples are opting for just a maid of honor + best man, or none at all, putting the focus back on them as a couple 🩷

3. Mini cakes + desserts - kind of following number 2 and down sizing on the cake. Not to say wedding cake is going away, not at all! But popularity is growing with smaller cakes, and incorporating fun desserts like ice cream trucks and donuts 🍩🍦

4. Smaller + shorter ceremonies - we think this trend has been growing in NZ for a while now, keeping things a bit shorter and sweeter, allowing the couple to spend more time with their guests.

5. Champagne towers + other photo moments - yes yes yes!! We love a champagne tower, but also think spectacular photo ops with a vintage car and sparkler exits 🥂

6. Curated menu's - this will be high on your list if your a foodie. It might be incorporating dishes from your travels, or going with a street food/food truck theme so your guests can eat & mingle.
