Couldn’t resist! (Iykyk 😉)
We may not be selling houses like the legendary Heatha Edwards but we will have beautiful blooms available from our farm shop 9-4 Saturdays throughout the growing season.

Tomorrow’s menu includes all the best Spring flowers - specialty tulips, ranunculus etc!

We’re back baby! Glimmers of spring are everywhere, and we’re starting to get our first harvests of spring flowers - think Ranunculus, Tulips, Specialty Daffodils etc! We’re pairing gorgeous spring blooms with interesting winter texture - this is the changing of the baton in the seasonal relay 🏃‍♀️.

Hope to see you there ✌️ 💐

Back home to reality now… but what an amazing week away at the Wildflower Conference in Australia with a 4 day pre conference tour up the coast.

I’ve meet so many incredible people this week and my mind is overflowing with ideas on what I could implement on the farm.

I think we travelled roughly 1300kms in 4 days for the pre tour 😱 so back home for a rest 🤣

A big thank you to everyone who organised the week - you did an amazing job. Also thanks to the farm/business hosts for allowing us to peek behind the curtain and experience what you’ve created.

We started the Wildflower pre conference tour off with a bang today!

Starting in the Sydney flower auction, then onto see some amazing Nurseries at Scott’s tubes and The Green Gallery, and finally a farm tour at East Coast Wildflowers!

An ode to Winter Texture 🙌 🥰

Icelandic poppies are one of those flowers that are best seen in person to appreciate their beauty.

🫶Their petals (particularly the colibri variety) look like crushed silk 👌
🫶 They have flowered for me (at least the last couple of years) in the dead of winter when not much else is happening.
🫶 Watching them transform in the vase from bud to bloom is part of the magic.

I found the first few buds emerging on the farm today so it shouldn’t be too long before we are getting some decent stems 😍

Phew! It’s been a busy few weeks here on the farm getting ready for Spring 🤩

✅ Our tunnel is now up and running 😁

✅ 5000+ plants in the ground

Up next is planting all the bulbs - tulips, freesias, alliums, daffs + more 💃

The days are getting shorter, colder, and the rain has set in here in the Manawatu….I’m already dreaming of Spring flowers 💓 🌷 💓
