There’s something pretty special about seeing young kids proud of themselves 💚🏑

Gorrie’s Supermarket - Riverslea Mall Edgecumbe & Chris Ford Events are incredibly proud to support the Edgecumbe Hockey Year 1 & 2 Junior teams the ⭐️Aces & Stars through our weekly Player of the Day certificates and prizes.

A huge thank you as well to Gorrie’s Supermarket for helping put smiles on these kids’ faces with the Player of the Day chocolate prizes 🍫

Grassroots sport plays such an important role in building confidence, friendships, teamwork and community spirit and we love being able to give a little back to the next generation.

Well done to all the players out there giving hockey a go each week.

Community starts with strong people behind the scenes. 🌿

Awesome to see the Eastern Bay of Plenty Community Network continuing to support local organisations through governance and leadership training.

Workshops like this help build stronger charities, stronger leadership, and ultimately stronger communities.

Really great mahi happening in the Eastern Bay. 👏

Motherhood has shaped so much of who I am! …not only in life, but in the way I connect with people and community every day.

Feeling incredibly grateful for these humans and the memories we continue to make together.

Some meetings happen in boardrooms…

Others happen over really good coffee and an almond croissant ☕🥐

Today I ended up at Resilience Coffee Shop and wow… absolutely delighted.
A warm almond croissant, fresh cream, and a seriously delicious coffee done right.

Sometimes the best ideas, conversations, and little reset moments happen when you slow down for five minutes.

Highly recommend 👏

A little throwback moment tonight ✨

Being part of the team behind One Double X winning Local Station of the Year is still something I look back on with a lot of pride and gratitude.

So many years went into building community connections, creating promotions and events, supporting local businesses, and showing up for the people of the Eastern Bay day after day. It was never just about radio…… it was about people, relationships, and creating moments that mattered.

Those years taught me so much and helped shape the skills, creativity, and passion I bring into Chris Ford Events today.

Sometimes people only see what you’re doing now, and not the journey that helped build it 💫

Very grateful for the memories, the people, and the experiences along the way. 🥂

A night out for a great cause ❤️

Loved getting along to support The Clothing Project fundraiser tonight with an awesome group of people. Great company, plenty of laughs, and a great movie all while backing something that makes a real difference in our community.

These are the kind of nights that remind you how powerful local support can be, people coming together, showing up, and helping good things continue to grow 🙌

Big shoutout to everyone involved in putting the fundraiser together. Community supporting community is what it’s all about. ✨

Loved helping out The Clothing Project 🫶 it was just for a few hrs and we made so many bags up for wee preemie babies … if you want to help get in touch with Kai at the The Clothing Project Helping Hands - Whānau Volunteering Sessions

Yesterday was a really special one for us 💛

After hearing a call-out for premature baby clothing, we were so honoured to drop off 10 beautiful gift bags (5 for boys and 5 for girls) to Heart Space in Whakatāne 🍼✨
Each one filled with tiny, lovingly packed pieces for some very special pēpi. (Big shout out to ChrisFord Events and Lacey for the help packing!)

And it didn’t stop there…
Because the team at Heart Space are such incredible supporters of us (always sharing their children’s clothing with our kaupapa) it felt so good to be able to return the favour 💫
Alongside the gift bags, we also dropped off a huge 12.12kg bag of baby clothes — something we’re lucky to have plenty of right now, and even luckier to pass on ❤️

This is what community looks like. Supporting each other, showing up, and sharing the aroha when it’s needed most 💛
