If you're a wedding vendor, here are just some of the reasons you should come to the webinar happening next month that I've teamed up with .nz for👇

⚡You’ve said “next season will be different” multiple times

⚡You feel busy, but you haven't really done a season review and figured out where your business truly is

⚡You’re fully booked but somehow still wondering where the money went

⚡You don't really know if your offers or services are profitable

⚡Your systems currently live inside your brain

⚡You’ve spent the season surviving

⚡You know your pricing probably needs attention

⚡You love the wedding industry but also occasionally fantasise about throwing your laptop out the window

⚡You're working all the hours under the sun during the busy months and can't actually remember what work/life balance is

⚡You want next season to feel calmer, more profitable and more sustainable

If any of these hit a little too close to home, you should probably come along. And best of all, it's FREE! All it will take is your time and a little bit of brain power. You can even join in your PJ's if you really want to!

You can secure your spot by clicking the link in the comments and registering. Spots are limited so don't delay! Its happening on Tuesday 25th June at 7pm on Zoom.

Happy 1st birthday to The Wedding Scene!

What started as wedding planning and coordination has slowly evolved into something quite different: helping wedding businesses build calmer, more sustainable, more profitable businesses. I'm still working with couples and loving that side of the business, but starting to work with vendors has been everything I hoped it would be and more.

This last year has taught me many things, one of them being that businesses rarely start perfectly formed. Often you just have to start even though you don't fully understand where you’re heading.

I’m really proud of this first year for TWS and I'm so excited for the direction it's heading in and what's to come!

❤️

At the end of a busy wedding season, it’s understandable that you're ready for a break, a chance to recharge and rest. As wedding vendors, we often feel that's the end of the season, file it away and look forward to the next one.

But there are often little hints from the season just been of areas we can improve our business.

Things that didn't flow as smoothly as we wanted, areas that need tweaking and adjusting, processes and systems that need creating or refining.

All of that is really valuable information to allow your following seasons to work better for you.

The quieter time of year is here for many wedding vendors. For some, winter weddings and events are still ahead. For others, it’s finally time to pause, rest, and reset before the next season begins.

This is often the season for the behind the scenes work, creating clearer processes, better systems, more defined boundaries, revieing pricing.

The things that tend to fall to the bottom of the to-do list during busy season but make a big difference when things get hectic again.

Ultimately, when you really think about why you are in business, is the goal just to have a business that's busy? Or is it a business that supports you, your life, and the way you actually want to work?

This is exactly the kind of work I’ve been doing with vendors lately. It's been so fulfilling helping these vendors create changes in their businesses that will have meaningful impacts for them 🩷

We all hit a point at the end of the wedding season (or maybe even before the end!) where we are so ready for a break. We’re craving some down time, so rest & recuperation. And rightly so! The wedding season is a busy time & demands a lot.

But before you file away the season, don’t miss the opportunity to reflect on how it’s been for you.

How did the season feel for you? Was it too busy? Could you realistically do more?

Did you make enough money? Are your services & offers profitable? Does your pricing need to be adjusted?

What felt challenging & not much fun?

Did your systems do what you need them to do?

These questions & so many more help give you a full 360 on where your wedding business is at. And it’s so important to get these nuggets of info down before you start to focus on the next wedding season.

This is what I’m working on with wedding vendors in my End of Season review sessions. A chance to spend some dedicated time getting stuck into the numbers, the stats, the feelings & determining how well your business is supporting you. Keen to know more? Drop me a DM!

If you're unsure what reviewing your season looks like, or how to even do it, read on!

It doesn't need to be complicated. You’re simply looking for patterns.

What worked well, what didn’t, what felt easy, what felt harder than it needs to.

We spend a lot of time focused on looking forwards to our next bookings, our next events, what's needed for those ones. Before you jump into your next season and all that holds for you, spend some time reflecting back on your past season - I guarantee there is some little nuggets of great info in there that can help for future seasons.

What will future you be so glad current you changed?

❤️

So often we make decisions for our businesses based on feelings. You know the ones, “enquiries are down”, “sales are slow” etc. etc. and while these can 100% be correct observations, we need to make sure we are diagnosing the problem BEFORE jumping in to solutions.

Because the problem with making decisions based on feelings is that they often aren’t accurate & we can miss the real issue causing it.

Tracking your business numbers gives you data that you cannot argue with. It will tell you for sure that enquiries are down, data will tell you if sales are slow.

Do you track your stats? Tell me in the comments!

We’re coming to the end of another wedding season, and if you’re in the industry, there’s a good chance you’re feeling it.

Tired, a bit stretched, possibly running on autopilot and looking forward to a break.

Busy wedding seasons ask a lot of you. Long days, constant decisions, managing people, timelines, expectations, admin. And still somehow keeping everything calm and seamless for your couples.

This time of year is a really valuable opportunity. Because just like a new year, a new season is ahead and it gives you the chance to reflect on what worked, what didn’t, and what needs to change.

Reflecting on your season before it is a distant memory is the best time to do it. Build your business so it supports you, not just your couples.

A lot of vendors are doing this without realising...

Trying to be everything, offering everything. It usually comes from a good place, wanting to be helpful, flexible, accommodating.

But it often leads to unclear boundaries, inconsistent delivery and burnout

Its important to be clear in your messaging what your core services are, what you will do and what you don't do. Clarity is so important for couples looking at your services.

Why timelines make or break a wedding day. You can always tell when a timeline hasn’t been thought through properly.

Everything feels rushed, delayed or slightly off. A well-structured timeline doesn’t just keep things on time, it creates space for the parts of the day that are truly special.

For vendors, this matters more than anything. A good timeline supports everyone.
